Message from Owner

Thor V, aka Torvi, usually goes out at night and is back by morning and comes when we call for him, but he has not returned in 2 days. He normally stays close to our hse, and he uses the doggie door. He's skittish of everything and will run away from everyone except his mama. He's fixed, not microchipped, shy but vocal, and loves chasing critters. He's super fast and feisty when he needs to be, but he's playful with our dogs. He also woolles. We've been calling out and walking around the neighborhood searching for him all weekend. If anyone sees him, please let us know asap. We are willing to offer a reward for his safe return.

Act Fast to Locate Your Cat! Don't wait thinking your baby will simply come back. Every day counts! Shelters and ACS are being forced to adopt out pets after the 3-5 day waiting period. Your Cat is likely very close to home, however, some folks take found cats to shelters/ACS/Humane Society. It is important not to wait on checking these places. Post on as many of these sites as possible. Keep record of your posts and respond to everyone so they contine to help. Nextdoor - ask a neighbor to post if not registered Pawboost - most widely used site Lostmydoggie Lostmykitty Humane Society locations Craigslist Petco Love Lost 24petconnect View these same sites daily. Let Local shelters and ACS know your cat is missing. ***Visit/View online shelters and Animal Care Services (ACS) daily for your cat - and not just the shelter near you. Cats can hitch rides in engines, jump in UPS trucks, etc. Ask about found injured pets since they may be at a vet or another area. Visit Bexar County Animal Care and their site ***Since lost pets become adoptable after just a few days, view the various sites: 24petconnect - many shelters list cats here Adoptapet Petfinder - many shelters list cats here Petsalive Pets.thecountyoffice .com Popular Rescues to check ADLtexas - view lost & Found and Adoptables Charmingpetrescue San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition Humane Society - many locations SAHumane Second Chance Cavy Rescue Put up signs . . . Put in car windows, vets, groomers, pet stores, etc. Update microchip ASAP! Post Pics that show body markings so others can match to found cats. List lost location and zip code up in post Monitor all of your posts. Do not rely on someone calling or messaging you. Respond to everyone that comments so your post and those helping stay active. People will think your baby has been found if there's no activity on the post. Put a cell number but be very careful of scammers. Never send money or a code to someone that says they have your cat. Follow other lost cat posts that look similar to your cat...greatly improves the chances of finding your baby.

What to do if you lose your Cat 1. Search all places inside and around your house as cats can hide in small places. 2. Shake their treat bag and softly call their name. 3. Search at dusk and dawn with a flashlight as the light will pick up their eyes. Outside they tend to hide under shrubs, under porches, in open sheds & drainage ditches. You can shake their treats while looking outside too. 4. Put something with your scent on it outdoors, on a porch or deck if possible or in a garage with the door cracked. Sometimes the scent brings them home. You can also put out their litter box. 5. Post on nextdoor 6. Post on pawboost. You can download a free flyer here. 7. Make a lost pet report to all the local shelters especially in areas that have close boundaries. 8. Post on FB Lost & Found Groups 9. Post on PetFBI site and use .org as the ending. 10. If chipped, report to chip company but don’t forget to change status when your cat is found. 12. Ask your neighbors to check their garages and sheds. 13. Last you can rent a humane trap at your local shelter and set it with some tasty food. Your cat may be coming around the house late at night.
