He sure looks so much like my little one we lost that got out a few weeks back, but I'm in La Habra Heights and this is in Montebello. Seems like a distance to make it that far.

Just as a suggestion.....You can always take the cat to any vet for a free scan to see if it has a microchip that would help find the owner if it's microchipped.

He probably lives nearby where he was found, please don't take him to the shelter, shelter him at home, and put up flyers in the neighborhood where he was found. Please put him in a spare room, garage,or bathroom with food, water, litter box and a box with a towel.
