Message from Finder

I found this cat sleeping on my front steps a few days ago. Will not let me get super close or let me pet them but does not get as spooked as the other community cats that are around. Has a plain dark-colored collar with a buckle but no apparent tags on the collar. Has been very interested in dry food and treats I have left outside. Seems curious about people - will just hang out in my yard. Has been back a few days in a row now. None of my neighbors said they recognized the cat.

Woody Wooden most community cats don't have collars. This one is also new and just started showing up a few weeks ago. I've lived in my house for a few years and am familiar with the handful of community cats in our neighborhood. Many low cost spay/neuter clinics will eartip a cat regardless of ownership status.

He's ear tipped so he's a Feral or was a Feral cat who most likely has a caretaker

If you do end up containing the cat a found report can be filed with the shelter on 24Petconnect dot com, filling in the distance on the form to 50 miles. A few flyers put up in the area may help find the owner. Have you also posted on Nextdoor?
