TIPS TO HELP FIND YOUR LOST DOG:
- Put dog's bed, piece of your unwashed clothing & bowl of water (no food) in your front yard. Dogs can pick up the scents & find their way home.
- If applicable call microchip company to report your dog lost & update your contact info.
- Post on these websites: californialostdogs.com,
nextdoor.com, http://lostmydoggie.com, fidofinder.com, helpinglostpets.com, petharbor.com, pawboost.com, findingrover.com
- Post on Facebook area lost & found pet, community & shelter pages, in newspapers & on Craig's List.

- Hang flyers (use a large, bright board or paper) w/your dog's picture & your contact info. Hang in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. Hang flyers in a 5 mile radius of your home. (See below)
- Go door to door w/flyers. Speak w/as many people as possible.
- Put a large sign in your front yard w/your dog's picture that says missing.
- File lost report with shelters in your area & surrounding areas (you can often do it online)

- Check shelters in person daily. Ask to see dogs in isolation & deceased dog list. If you can't go daily check shelter's website.
- Check shelter's found report for dogs found but not at the shelter.
- Take flyers to shelters.
- Check the sites above for found pets & pets for sale.
