Desk people don’t know all the dogs they have in kennels.
Take receipt of annual vaccinations with you.
⭐️2. Notify microchip registrar of missing.

If microchipped, be sure your contact information is current with the company. Put owner’s clothing or his bedding out and maybe he’ll get the scent. Post colored fliers in your yard, on your car window, all around the area he’s missing from, where spotted and at businesses and vets offices if allowed. (Put them in zip lock bags if rain is predicted.) Give some to the mail carriers, UPS/Federal Express drivers and utility workers in the area. Notify animal control and check with them daily.
