Description

14 week female tortoiseshell kitten went missing on 8/6 from the 18th N and Lakeside. She is small and slender with a mostly black coat and orange/tan markings, including a distinctive orange stripe down the center of her face. She has amber eyes and was not wearing a collar. She is very friendly and food motivated. She recently received her first vaccinations and boosters. She responds to her name Oli.

She is a 12-week-old tortoiseshell kitten that we are currently fostering and in the process of adopting. She is scheduled to be spayed within the next couple of weeks. She was not wearing a collar because she is very active, climbs often, and has repeatedly gotten out of collars. She unexpectedly slipped out the front door when it was opened. She is friendly but may be scared, so please do not chase her. If seen, please contact us immediately.

Physically check P Adams and ACC often, they are busy, take a pic with you. ACC can be quick to euthanize.

Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!

Nancy Cooper Blakeney that's a good idea! We have spoken to our neighbors, but it didn't occur to us to ask them to check their security cameras. We'll definitely do that. We've been going through our own footage from the front yard, carport, and backyard, but it's like she vanished into thin air.

Jamie Lynn I'll definitely do that, i'm running to Home Depot right now. I'm hoping she comes back soon. My biggest fear is that someone saw a tiny kitten and, trying to do the right thing, took her home thinking she was a stray. We are absolutely devastated. Even our two little dogs, who had become the best friends with her, have been searching around the house looking for her. We just want our sweet girl back. Thank you for the suggestions.

Ask neighbors to check ring cameras... post everywhere, at local schools and supermarket and gas station everywhere 🙏

You can purchase a trap from Tractor Supply or Home Depot or Amazon or see if you can borrow or rent one from a local rescue or TNR group. Put a piece of your clothing with your scent on it inside and some wet food and set the trap and cover it with a towel (they feel more secure hidden) and monitor it.🙏❣️ remember kitties are naturally nocturnal, so they will hide during the day and move at night time looking for a food source or trying to get home. This is when most of us are sleeping.That's why the trap is ideal. Monitor the trap. If you catch a critter go ahead and release it and wash the trap and reset. They leave a smell behind which may deter your baby from going in. If you catch another kitty, you can always take it to a local vet or shelter for a free chip check and you might be able to help return someone else's missing baby home.♥️ also get a big sign in the front yard so in case someone does have or sees this baby and does not see this post, they can contact the owner that way. Also get lots of signs posted in the neighborhood. Keep checking on your local county FB group pages. You can search the group by "cat" to see all the cat posts only💗

Cook chicken on the grill. Put catnip outside. Play YouTube videos of kittens crying and shine a laser cat toy around the bushes.
