Imia Whitney sadly it does happen and I have seen it happen. I'm sure it's overwhelming for a finder trying to navigate when you get multiple claims. Just try to find out where she is taking her to.

This was after i sent her the dog records. I do understand having to confirm and be careful because i guess people claim dogs that aren’t theirs. But im 100% sure that this is my dog. I wouldn’t claim someone else’s dog.

Bring the Lost Pets of Delaware County PA Home I’m 100% sure that it’s her. I called the shelters around here and they told me the same thing. I provided the finder with pictures videos and now vet records. I don’t know what else to do to get her back if the person that found her is hold her hostage.

Imia Whitney okay thanks for the update. Unfortunately Delaware County doesn't have their own intake shelter and every municipality is supposed to have a process in place for stray/found dogs. Not having our own shelter makes it difficult for both finders and owners to figure out where to look for owners and what to do for finders. Let us know when you get her back and if it turns out that she's not yours and a look a like you may want to do a missing post
