Hope is 15 years old. Mostly white with tabby patches and beautiful green eyes. She is friendly and not familiar with the area.

Message from Owner

We got Hope when she was only 2 weeks old. She was orphaned. I bottle fed her. She was my mom's cat. My mom past 4 years ago and Hope is my world. My room mate threw all my belongings out the bedroom window. It's clear by the scene that she was extremely angry. I suspect fiwl play of some kind. At minimum, she put her outside. Possibly without food or water. That's the only way I could see her leaving the property was if she was searching for food. I am devastated. We are very closely bonded. I need her and she needs me. Hope, please be ok. Im not even certain of the day she was last at the hse. I stayed away for a few days to try to let things cool down. I had no idea she wasn't in decent hands. I do fear a worse fate since when I asked when she last saw her she fumbled her words around when she said today (15th) so I believe it was yesterday or even the day before. Praying a neighbor saw her and brought her in.

The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. They have to use their sense of smell to get home again. Put anything outside that smells like their territory. Put the pajamas you slept in outside because you probably sweated in them. Put out their food your stinky socks your smelly sneakers anything you can think of that the cat will recognize by smell. Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week or so sleeping in the bushes during the day and coming out at dusk and dawn. Those are good times to take a walk shaking the treat bag calling out but cats also tend to come out and walk around very late at night. Try to keep a door cracked if you can whether it's the garage or whatever or a window cracked so you can hear them if they call out for you. Put this on all of the neighborhood pages as well as lost and found pets sites. Knock on the neighbors doors and make sure they know you're looking for your cat. Good luck PS cats can smell up to one mile away from their own house. Absolutely no litterbox outside or food.
