Description

This is a rescue who had been abandoned, so has only been interacting with kind humans for about a month, when our son's family took her in. In the country in SE Brazos County at our son's hse, she was good with chickens, children, other dogs and cats. We brought her to our in NE Brazos county on Jan. 21, so she was in a time of readjusting. We had a vet appointment and a plan with an understanding trainer. But in six days, it’s not like she was bonded to us per se. We were going to take her with us to town last Friday because she has separation anxiety. That is when she escaped wearing a pink harness and red leash. Via Nextdoor, we had several sightings Friday night and Saturday - as much as 2 miles east of us - and we pursued all of them, including leaving a trail of food nuggets dipped in bacon grease leading to our deck. She returned to our deck at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. We greeted her but she did not come in. She hoped she would stay over night and start to readjust to our place. But she did not. The last we saw, she may have gone west of Hurta Lane but we are not sure. She no longer has on the harness, leash or collar. We believe she may be trying to figure out how to get back to our son's place where she had made friends with the dogs there. She is extremely timid and fearful. She is very sweet and not at all aggressive. She will not let you approach her. You would have to earn her acceptance over time. What we think would be helpful is reports of where she is seen. If possible, we would try to bring our son's dogs to encourage her to come. She seems to be especially leery of men, but my son was able to befriend her with tender patience and time.

Alot of spammers on this thread.. beware... id put out food and water and a game camera to see if she still nearby hiding.. and then you could trap her.. but we have to get her to come and eat repeatedly to do this successfully.. make a food station and see if shes around fist

Debbie Russell they have been here and we have her blanket out on the deck as well. The problem is we don't know where she is now. So their scent at our house is probably not strong enough to get to where ever she is. No one has reported seeing her today.
