At the top of my page is a pinned post with tips on how to find or return a lost dog. This Facebook post includes links to other local Lost and Found Facebook pages to save you time and effort, as well as links to places where you can report found/lost pets. Don’t forget to look for posts that may already be up for the pet. There's a video link on how to catch a loose and normally scared dog (e.g. calling their name – even by the owner - can send them running the other way if in survival mode, don't chase, etc.). https://youtu.be/cmiZzB643is There’s lots of information about creating a scent trails by WALKING and other ways like putting out your dirty laundry, all so the dog can smell his way home. Dogs can smell up to 11 miles away. In the comments is a diagram of a wagon wheel showing how to lay out a scent trail leading back to your home ……………do this ASAP…………….. 🏃💨 🐾 Petco Love Lost offers an AI-powered Pet ID with photo recognition to help reunite lost pets with their families. If you haven't already Immediately alert the chip company and make sure your info is UTD. File a lost report with local shelters. Go there in person on a regular basis. Post on Next Door and PawBoost. Ignore the pay prompts for PawBoost. Download Ring app and ask neighbors to check their footage. Let the postman know, as they know most of the people on their routes. You don’t have to have a Ring doorbell. Put clothes, towels, bedding that smells like you on your porch. Post on as many Lost and Found sites on FB as possible. Do not duplicate posts on the pages as this loses the thread. Dogs usually head north, for some reason, so look in that direction. But obviously check everywhere. Put up clear, simple and brightly colored signs all around the area. Put a sign in your yard with a picture and your phone number. Walk the neighborhood and put flyers on everyone's door. Immediately put out your dog's bed, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). Contact all local animal shelters, vets and groomers in your area. Walk don't drive around looking for your baby. The car may muffle your voice

Put a scent station (dirty Tshirt, socks, pillow case with owner smell) at the spot where dog went missing, to help dog smell it way back to where it went missing. You will need to keep monitoring spot every couple hours to see if dog returns to spot. Put sign with picture on front yard incase someone finds dog in neighborhood and drives or walks around looking for dogs home. Also, please check ALL local shelters and rescues everyother day to see if pet has been brought in GOOD LUCK

General Information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house (EX Worn clothing / shoes from a family member that the dog lives with.) Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media). Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Owners: Do not try and search for the dog - as your scent travels when you are out and walking all over can confuse the dog. The dog should only smell your scent near your home. Never underestimate the ability of a dog to find their way home using their nose. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing to see if it has been picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely. Beware of scammers.
