~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…

Make sure your post includes City, State, date went missing and cross streets. If your animal is chipped contact the chip company immediatley to make sure your animals chip is registered and that the information is up to date. Post on Pawboost, Nextdoor, Ring, Pet FBI, Petco Love, 24 Pet Connect and lostmydoggie.com. Pawboost will alert people in your area on Facebook and notify their Rescue Squad, which are members in your area that will receive alerts. Post on all of the lost and found facebook sites sites in your area. Have your neighbors check their security cameras fo any sightings.Update your post with all new sightings and location. Put pungent food, bedding and items of your unlaundred clothing outside. Lay a scent trail. Post a sign with a picture and your contact information in your yard. Put signs in your neighborhood and at local businesses that have alot of foot traffic. Visit this site - Missing Animal Response Network site for instructions on how to tag your car. Other options are thermal drones or pet trackers. There are many lost pet scams.
