If you have the cat contained, file a found cat report with Virginia Beach Animal Control and Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center on Birdneck Road. They can scan for a microchip tomorrow and post on stray hold for owner to reclaim with proof of ownership. Not everyone sees Facebook posts and may go to the shelter to look for the lost cat.
