Owners - Go back to the location where the dog went missing as the dog will usually circle back to the location where they first went missing eventually. [The dog is currently in a 'flight or fright' mode - very scared and probably found a hiding spot until they feel confident to venture out.] Stay there - in one localized area and set up a scent station using a scent that the dog is familiar with - worn clothing or shoes from the owner. Hang that scent out high so that it can travel and guide the dog back to that area. Post fliers with your contact information and dogs picture in the location that the dog went missing --especially for those not on social media. If the dog is spotted the information can help provide what direction it was traveling. Check with local animal shelters in case he was picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely

It may be worth placing some of your clothing with your scent where he went missing at (away from the road if possible) as that may help him know you’re coming there and he’ll wait. With all the fireworks, those could have caused him to go further but hope not. Is Chevy microchipped? Is he wearing a collar with a tag?
