Yes, took a flyer to Keaau Humane Society, posted ads on CRaigs List and Pawboost. Yes, Joey is Shih Tzu (better spelling than mine...), huge Mahalo for you offer and help!!

OMG!! This is a dangerous area for your baby Joey to be lost! Seriously, dangerous, especially at night! I promise you, I will personally look around the area for Joey early morning all the way down to Kurtistown - I rescue all dogs when I can. I NEVER pass a lose or lost dog ever without stopping. I live up in Volcano and in the past 6 moths I have rescued 6 dogs - 2 in Mountain View, wandering and lost and in danger. I pick them up, keep them, post on FB, check for chips, make calls, and keep them in our good and safe hands, warmth, food and shelter...and I tirelessly work to reunite them. I reunited all or called another org for help. Feel free to private message me and I will do all I can... Joey is a Shih Tzu?? I have a rescue female Shih Tzu, they have the same beautiful joyful face. I will rally and make some calls with and for you... I am so sorry this happened. This is a rural VERY dense area and believe me, there are people who will not reunite or do the right thing. Let me know if you've called HIHS (Humane Society) and I can help you with that as well (tips, etc). Godspeed Joey. DON'T stop searching for him. DON'T stop..keep the faith. I'll do all I can..
