Message from Owner

My cat Girlie has been missing since June 28th and I miss her dearly. There is not a day that goes by where I haven't been thinking of her and that I'm not searching for her. She is incredibly loving and very vocal. She had somewhat of an oversized belly(may have even been or gotten pregnant) also with a hardened possibly herniated belly button. She is all black(except a few white chest hairs and ear hairs) including the pads of her feet and her whiskers. She loves to get undrneath pillows, blankets and clothes or she'll even squeeze behind and under furniture to curl up and go to sleep. She used to even like to get up in my hoodie or jacket and fall asleep in there. She would try to run up me like a tree and stop around my knees knowing I would catch her and hoist her up on my shoulder or just hold her. I love my Girlie and I seriously am having a hard time with this. The pictures I have of her are on a broken phone of mine and it has been a challenge getting them off of there. Please I just know it someone probably scooped her up the day she went missing being that she is so friendly and where she went missing there's no hses around anyone that would have thought twice about it would've thought they were helping and probably assumed she was a stray or had been misplaced somehow. If you or anyone you know has her or knows anything please don't hesitate to call me. TIA Elizabeth

Most cats stay fairly close to home when they get out so chances are high your cat is on your property or somewhere on your block, most likely three or four houses away. Search at night with a flashlight because the eyes will glow. Cats sometimes get stuck up in trees and can't get down so check there. Also check inside and under places he might be stuck or hiding such as sheds, barns, garages, crawl spaces, decks. Talk to your neighbors, put up missing cat posters up to a half a mile away, post on all local social media, and make sure to check with animal control weekly. Some people have had luck by putting something with the cat's smell, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Sometimes people also have luck finding their cat by walking around at dawn carrying an open can of tuna or smelly canned cat food.
