Post on Nextdoor too.
Please put his/her litter box and bed on your porch so kitty can smell it. Some advise against putting out the litterbox because it can draw predators, so use your best judgment. Also place your dirty worn clothes outside up off the ground where the breeze will carry your scent. It may lure them back. No food or water outside because it attracts everyone else. Open a door or window where they escaped from and crack your garage door so he/she can get back in. If it’s an indoor kitty it is really important he/she has a safe way back in so leave a door open (all day and night) as they typically try to return when it’s late hours and quiet. Check all of the bushes, shake noisy food and then be quiet and listen. He/she might meow but you might not hear them. Check trees, they could have been chased up one. Cats don't usually go too far. Talk to neighbors. He/she might be camped out in their yard, and they don't know it is yours. Put up signs-IMPORTANT. Put up cameras outside to alert you if kitty is in the yard. Have neighbors check theirs too.
Alert the microchip company that kitty is lost! Check with vets where they went missing. Call the shelter and let them know your cat is missing so they can log it in their book.
