MESSAGE FROM OWNER
I’m here today because on march 22 my mother drove me to a treatment center. I decided it was time to change my life for the better. My ESA dog, Mickey, was unfortunately not allowed inside with me. It took everything in me to check in without Mickey, but I had to do this for myself. My mother offered to bring Mickey to my husband for me. I was grateful for the help. It was hard work inside the facility without my dog that’s always on my lap. He can sense how I’m feeling and he’s my tether that calms my fears and anxiety. Even sleeping without him was next to impossible. A couple days into treatment- when I was doing everything I could to fight withdrawals, I found out my husband didn’t have Mickey. My mother, told me she dropped him off at a shelter. My whole world tered. I rushed out of treatment after being put on methadone and called every shelter in the region. He is microchipped and no one has contacted me so he’s not at any of them anyways. Then my mother completely blocked me and my husband from contacting her, destroying my opportunity to find my dog. I just can’t believe my own mother could be this cruel. What this has done is put me into an emotional crisis state. I’m physically sick over this and emotionally destroyed.
DESCRIPTION
Mickey is a chorkie. He is roughly 15 pounds. Mickey has a curly tail and is very loving and kind. Mickey was last seen with a black and gold studded collar with his rabies vaccine tag.
