Wanted to share these tips.
Another social media is Craigslist. Check and post under their community section of lost and found area. Their are some people like the elderly who choose not to be on facebook. Others are taking a break from facebook.
Also any lost pets websites for your area. The ones we know of are:
www.IowaPetAlert.com
www.PawBoost.com
AHeinz57 Missing Mutts (facebook)
AHeinz57 Lost Cats (facebook)
Lost Dogs Iowa (facebook)
www.NextDoor.com
Missing Pets (facebook)
Put flyers around and let vet clinics around your area know. Go daily to your local shelters and check.
Our local HyVee grocery stores and Casey's gas stations have community bulletin boards for flyers.
Call your local animal control to see if they have pick him/her up and which shelter they took him/her to.
If you have a garage put his/her food, water, and a box (or live trap if you have one) with his/her blanket or some of your unwashed t-shirts with your scent on them in it for him/her.
Ask your neighbors to check their security cameras, garages, sheds and to look under their deck.
Our prayers for the family.
