Thank you for helping this pup! Here are some tips to help you find the owner: - If there’s a neighborhood Facebook page where the pup was found, post on there right away to reach the people who live in that area. - Put up FOUND DOG flyers all around the neighborhood or area where pup was found with its picture and your contact info. - If there are adjacent neighborhoods close to where the pup was found, put flyers in those areas as well, because pets are not always aware of boundaries between neighborhoods and may accidentally wander from one to another, unaware that they’re getting further and further away from home. - Email a copy of your flyer to Animal Control to hang in their lobby in case the owner goes there looking for their missing pup. - Take the pup to be scanned for a microchip. Any Veterinarian will do it for free, and could help to track down the owner. - If someone does come forward claiming to be the owner, please get absolute proof of ownership, as some people will claim to own pets that are not actually theirs, sometimes for nefarious purposes, and innocent pets could end up as Bait in dog fighting rings. Thank you so much for helping this sweet pup. Praying you’ll be able to find the owner real soon!

Make flyers with picture saying FOUND DOG. Put up 1-4 miles from where found. Not everyone has social media

Shared! Search the lost section of Pawboost. CVets can scan for chip for free or any vet. whatever you do get hard proof of ownership and veterinary references for any fosters or adopters and CALL them as people search these sites for bait dogs and backyard breeding. Send women and kids to get them to not raise red flags.
