Please have scanned for a microchip. Any vet will do it for free, without an appointment. Please call 407-836-3111, press # and file a found dog report, as required by county law. If you are unable to hold for the required 30 days while continuing to look for an owner, please take it to shelter. Thats where an owner would look for their lost dog. Do NOT give it to someone who says they'll "hold" or "foster" it. They will not look for the owner, and just keep the dog.

there may be a woman who reaches out to you through messages. She will say she's with VIP Rescue and offer to take the dog. She is on a do not adopt list AND banned by our county shelter (thats pretty hard to do!!) PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HER THE DOG!! It will never find its way home.
