Check the shelter in person and take a good look around, a friend of mine kept calling the shelter about her small dog and they gave her the wrong info, she decided to go in person, her dog was there! Don’t trust the shelters! Go and look in the back, look everywhere, check see if they have outside buildings too.

Post on NextDoor and neighbors.ring, hang bilingual flyers, and put out articles of unwashed clothing and the pet’s bed. Ask neighbors to check their Ring cameras, garages, and sheds. Check shelters in person. If not already done, have your pet microchipped as soon as you’re reunited. If already chipped, call the microchip company to report pet lost and make sure your contact information is correct. Report lost on 24petconnect. If someone posts “We found” and asks for your phone number, don’t respond; it’s a scam. Same if they want to send you a code. Beware of sites people recommend that find lost pets; many are scammers
