Place the litter box outside as well… so they have a scent to recognize and follow back

Have you filed a lost cat report with a Virginia Beach animal control. If your cat is chipped, make sure the registry has your current information so they could contact you. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your cat name and shaking the kitty treat bag. Look in the bushes with your flashlight to see if you see your cat hiding house cats normally don’t stray more than 5 to 7 houses from their own . print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take it around the neighbors. Ask them if they see your cat to just call you. You don’t want to frighten the cat away. Also asked him if they’ve been in their outbuilding or shed or their garage cats will go in places like that to hide because it feels safe. A cat that goes in a shed or an out building and the door is closed. They can’t get out and you cannot hear the cat crying unless you’re standing right next to the shed. Visit Virginia Beach animal shelter in person to see if your cat’s been brought in. They only keep animals 10 days if they don’t have a collar on and then they put them up for adoption if no one has claimed them.
