Sammy is Missing in Rocklin, CA

Cockatiel - Pied - yellow, gray, and white with orange cheeks It’s now been over three weeks, and we’re still searching for our beloved cockatiel, Sammy. He flew away from Monarch Ct. near Blaydon Rd. in the Stanford Ranch area of Rocklin. His last confirmed sighting was on a rooftop about 1½ miles from home a day and a half after he escaped. Since then, there have been no confirmed sightings. Sammy is very timid. He may not let anyone approach him, so please don’t chase him. If you think you’ve seen him, even briefly, please contact me) with the location, date, and time. Even small details could help. He can whistle “Pop Goes the Weasel” and “Farmer in the Dell.” Sammy is pied, mottled gray and white with yellow in his tail and head and has orange cheeks. He is wearing a breeder’s leg band. If someone has found him or taken him in, that leg band identifies him as a cherished pet and his owner can be located. Please check your yards, patios, trees, rooftops, bird feeders, and anywhere a tired pet bird might stop. If you’ve heard a cockatiel whistle or chatter recently, I’d love to know about it.
