About 10 years before some teenagers stole my male Lhasa Apso puppy. I didn’t know who took him at the time. I put up signs with pictures in stores and at a laundromat. A week later the puppy was returned by the boys. A few years later, in the 80s, my pregnant Lhasa Apso got out. She wandered a few blocks away. Her babies were due in a few weeks and I was so worried about her. Just over two blocks and around a corner a couple saw her wandering on the road by my house. My posters showed how my children loved her and we hope she will be found. The people that had her said they love her. My ‘Puppa’ was returned just a few days before her puppies were born. We gave the people who rescued her the pick of the litter. They named their honey colored Lhasa Bonnie.

Every time I put a sign up it was taken down. I almost gave up. I began thinking maybe it’s against the law to post a sign on that particular telephone pole. I noticed other signs were being left on poles not far from where I posted my sign. So, I put the picture of my dog on against ,saying how much we loved her and how we hoped she would be returned. I got a call from someone who said his neighbor used to have one Siberian husky how all of a sudden he has two full grown huskies. He gave me his neighbors address. I took over lots of pictures. To show how she was as a pup and how she has grown for 3 years but she has the same markings. I could prove his new dog was actually my missing dog. Obviously the pictures matched the dog. He told me to come back tomorrow because his wife would want to say goodbye. When I went back the following day he had a gun. He told me don’t come back again, I went home and called the police. There was no question at all that the dog belong to me. The police made the man and his wife return my dog and they told him not to bother me or go near my property and my dog again or he would be put in jail. I did not press charges. We ended moving to an apartment and couldn’t keep my dog but I chose a nicer family. The newspaper boy loved visits and he jhad 3 younger brothers. So we checked with his Mom and dad. They had an 11 year old retriever and were all very excited to have pup
