Dpkk Kritika one of the posters at the rail station worked. He had been picked up by children who thought it was their cat (I had adopted a kitten from them and I know they didn’t want the kitten to go - that said, they picked up the wrong one! I had 3 black cats at that time). I am guessing it was them because one of them returned his collar. He was eventually found in back garden near to where they live. That was on the other side of the village.The commuter recognised him from the poster because he had a cough. Also when a cat kept coming to me putting photo leaflets through doors worked in finding the owner.

Angela Day Also, he’s stopped using his litter box, but I’ve kept it outside in the garden. He only went in once and came straight back out. Since he hasn’t really used it, do you think I should still use that litter around the borders outside, even though it’s still clean?

Angela Day It’s his 10th day missing today, and he’s really not the type to stay away this long usually he’s back within a couple of hours. He’s extremely shy and anxious around people. Did you find your cat yourself, did it come home on its own, or did someone contact you?

You may have done some of this already, but if not, it might be worth putting some leaflets with a photo through the doors of houses/flats in nearby roads to home. Many people don’t walk around their local area and some don’t go out a great deal so they might not realise a visiting cat in their garden is a missing one. Plus, posters at the railway stations, bus stops, and newsagents. A poster at the station worked for me. Mine was found after 10 days, so don’t give up hope. Also if you have any used cat litter, (or bedding), spread bits of it around your borders outside, (not the tray). Cats can pick up their scent from some distance. I hope your cat is back home with you soon.🙏🤞🐾
