LOST CAT Our cat Katniss has been lost since Sunday. We wanted to wait a day to make sure she wasn’t just roaming around our hse outside or even in one of her hiding spots inside the hse. It’s now Tuesday and still no sign of her. She’s a very friendly cat so if you see her she’ll probably come right up to you. We live on Bryant street near Bryant farms so if you live near us please be on on the lookout! She loves to be outdoors in our backyard and occasionally in the front yard but she’s never gone far especially now that she’s been spayed for a couple years. She’ll usually just sit in our lawn chairs or the patio until she’s ready to come inside. There has also been a black male cat coming around and sitting on our porch that she loves to lay outside with for the past month. He’s not our cat but we have seen him at our hse every single day for the last month just sitting on the porch. We have not seen him once since she disappeared so we have a feeling she may have followed him somewhere and got lost… if you happen to see her or have spotted her please let us know!! Thanks 🙏🏼

No Might be inside…? Don’t despair Be calm and meet all your neighbors with a flyer/contact info. Someone may have already let her in their garage with this weather! Make an exhausted search inside…kitties will go deep into coves, storage, boxes, closets, What have y’all had open and available today! List cat on all lost pet sites in your area and check sites regularly for lost ones. Check culverts and hiding places At dusk and dark they come out more, go with flashlight and shaking favorite crunchy snack. My once feral cat was out for 11 days, I think she watched us look for .Don’t lose hope, make sure and post when they come home. We all need good news. 🐈‍⬛

Be sure to check at CCAS. Stray hold is only 72 hours (this is new). They don't answer the phone so best to email or go in person.

Have you posted on Neighbors by Ring app asking people to check their cameras? You dont have to have Ring. Download Neighbors App to get real-time crime and safety alerts from your neighbors and public safety agencies. So sorry kitty is missing. My indoor only cat got out during construction and was missing for a week. Post on Next Door. If chipped, report missing to the chip company and ensure they have up to date contact info for you. File a missing report with the shelter online. I read indoor cats usually only stray 5-10 houses so I went door to door in a radius around my house and asked neighbors if I could search their backyards and under sheds. I also handed them a flyer. I walked around at night calling my cat and shining a flashlight in bushes to try to spot eyes. I cracked my garage slightly and put a lot of dirty laundry i.e. dirty sheets and blankets which helps with a scent trail. A neighbor spotted my cat in the storm drain closest to my house. I never thought to look there. It took 3 days after knowing she was in there until she came out. I do not have Ring, so I bought cheap motion sensor cameras and set them up at both doors that sent motion alerts to my phone.Good tips here: www.catsinthebag.org Paws crossed you are reunited soon.

Crack your garage a slight bit and will likely try to come home early morning when its quiet. Informative video on how to find your missing cat. https://www.facebook.com/374756619256467/posts/2701302119935227/
