Require proof of ownership. Take by vet to scan for chip. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. File online found reports with shelters.

Put on Neighbor'sring App and Lost and Found Pets Folsom, Ca Facebook Group. Any vet can do the first scan for microchip but if it's not detected make sure you have SPCA Sacramento Florin Perkins Rd do a second one it's their jurisdiction. Many times are not detected on one scanner and detected on the next. Even if it has a microchip make sure you get proof of ownership for its safety.You also need to file a found report with SPCA Sacramento if your willing to hold be sure to inform them
