Kathleen Cooke I believe the cat was abandoned. But thanks for such a kind comment.

People are idiots that let their cats outdoors.

Tonya Scoffield right, it’s not the same. Thank you so much for all the details and kindness. God bless you. It’s so sad that many cats out there because owners abandoned them, and many got ed by cars and coyotes. I’m still praying that someone took my feral cat in and gave him a forever home 🙏🏻

Natalie King Also sorry, you're right about the feral aspect. My cat has a clipped ear because he was taken in by a rescue, but most street cats that are clipped and stray are generally feral. But you are completely correct and I have just been on low sleep and high stress to adequately describe it, so feral was just the easiest way. After handling it and how cuddly it was, and realizing after taking it to the vet and at home cleaning, it used the litter box (I made a temp one for it while it was in my bathroom bc I couldn't have it roaming my apartment with my cat).... I've realized that not only was this not a feral cat, but also probably not a street stray. It was either abandoned by it's owner after being rescued, or rescued and beat by it's owner and escaped. That's the only conclusions I can make from the entire situation. Because it being litter trained without prompts, so ready and initiating cuddles, and the injuries it has with the extreme starvation..... Those two options seem like the only likely scenarios. But again.... I'm still on a lack of sleep and still crying over this cat so I still might not be seeing things correctly.

Sara Dr I just dropped it off for medical care. It had stopped eating and needed emergency care. They were a really sweet staff and I'll be checking on it's progress.

Trang Nguyen I'm so sorry, it's not the same cat. The cat I rescued is a black cat with a clipped ear, extremely emaciated, and much smaller than in your picture. It's a black cat with a small white tuft on it's neck.
