got a better photo of the cat tonight, it’s definitely medium haired and has fluffy tufts on his or her ears, Siamese (possibly lynx or tortie point)

Also please take note that I’m guessing this cat has sleek medium length fur since it has a distinctly fluffy tail, it’s an adult (unsure of age beyond that), medium size with a slender frame.

General Note: i’ve had several people contact me about lost Siameses pretty far from here and I don’t really want to trap the cat without a plan. I already have a foster kitten here currently and don’t have a setup for a second foster situation, plus this one will need to be separated from everyone else in case of illness. So if everyone comes and it’s not anyone’s cat I’d have to rerelease it, which will then make re-trapping significantly harder or might make the cat leave altogether. So for anyone who lost a Siamese cat 2+ miles from here or knows someone who has — possible owners are welcome to come by to take a look here at night whenever convenient, the cat comes after dark and usually hangs out in this area until the sun comes back up, except when it’s raining heavily. My porch is visible from the parking lot if you want to “stake out” for the cat and you’re welcome to bring stinky cat food and place it on my porch to lure the cat (if you can’t see it immediately upon arrival it’s often in the bushes and will come back out for food once I’ve gone back in). Feel free to DM me if you think it’s worth a shot or tell the person who’s looking for their cat that they can message me on here, or nextdoor, or by email.

Zarina Fazaldin that’s 11 miles from here (24 minutes by car according to Google maps) so I’d say it’s pretty unlikely but anything is possible (I’ve heard of cats getting into open cars/trucks/etc that are driven to a second destination and the cat gets out when the vehicle is stopped — very uncommon but it’s happened!) so if the owner thinks it looks like their cat (I’d describe this cat as an adult, medium sized, slender build, most likely sleek medium length fur and it has a noticeably fluffy tail) they are welcome to come by after dark and try to get a better look and see if the cat recognizes them. It runs away from me and is acting shy but even cats that are friendly at home can be very scared and shy when lost outside especially if they’ve never been outside before. General Note that I’m going to post as its own comment too: i’ve had several people contact me about lost Siameses pretty far from here and I don’t really want to trap the cat without a plan. Robin Ware I don’t have the ring app (camera is not a ring brand) but I already posted on Nextdoor and someone has shared it a second time to nextdoor.

I’m the poster if anyone would prefer to contact me directly regarding this cat, you can send me a DM on here or email at maggi [dot] hames at [the email server managed by google]. This cat is not in my possession but it has been showing up on my porch after dark every night since I first saw it about a week ago and hangs around all night until the sun comes up unless it’s pouring rain; I’m not sure where it spends the day/where it goes in inclement weather.
