Message from Owner

Bijou is just about 3 months old. She is very playful and has lots of energy. She is very friendly. Although I have only had her for not quite two months I have cared for her since bottle feeding to now. I feel very bonded with Bijou in just these past weeks and miss her very much. You just touch her and she purrs. She got out of the hse while I was gone and disappeared somewhere between about 3 PM and 8 PM when I got and couldn’t find her. I have searched the neighborhood and neighbors around me. I contacted local animal shelter next day but no luck. Someone may have seen her alone and thought she was abandoned and took her to prevent anything from happening mishaps with vehicles. But Bijou is not abandoned and is loved and I miss her very much. Please contact me if you have found her or have any information about her. Thank you so much for caring and your support.

Place pieces of your unwashed clothing on your porch. Open your garage door just enough for your cat to slide out. Post flyers. Keep checking with your animal shelter.

Samantha Schenck i’m very true. And they can stay in hiding for a long time until they get really hungry. So that’s why we never give up on our fur babies.❤️🐈‍⬛

Kimm Louise McLaughlin yes, my indoor cat got out and she stayed under the tiniest bush for over 12 hours and we passed by that bush several times looking for her. She was still and hiding from fear.

Sad seeing so many kitties go missing 30+, just this week. Poor baby, she must be so scared and hungry out on her own. She’s particularly vulnerable being so young. 🐈 When a cat goes missing, they can’t easily find their way home using only their scent. You must be proactive and look for them. Look under yours & your neighbor’s cars, bushes & hedges, look for glowing eyes w/flashlight, call her early evening when it’s quiet and they come out from hiding to eat. Posting is important, but please search for her, too. They don’t go far 3-4 houses away, they stay in one place until they are scared off by dogs, coyotes, or loud equipment. The challenge is to find her before she gets any further away. Please hang flyers near the area where she went missing, it’ll get the immediate attention from pedestrians, drivers and your neighbors will know you’re looking for her. Good luck finding this adorable girl-this is coyote country. YOU’RE the one that can bring her home safely, she will recognize YOUR voice, footsteps and your scent. Please check with SDHS Lost & Found daily, post on ND. If you’re able to find her, PLEASE, please don’t let her outside unattended. Cats have the intelligence of a 3yo, they don’t know the dangers they face outdoors with coyotes, dogs, cars, and worst of all people who don’t like them in their yard. This is Coyote Country! She’s absolutely gorgeous 💜

Most indoor cats will stay very close to home, but they will go into hiding because they go into survival mode, especially during the day. If it’s at all possible for you to put some recently worn clothing, bedding, a cat tree, if your cat has one near a open door window or garage where the cat will have access to return home, they usually will do it between midnight and 3 AM in the morning. Do not put a litter box out because that will attract other predators such as coyotes, raccoons, skunks, etc. At night time, you can also take a flashlight looking under cars in trees and bushes Taking with you a bag of treats if your cat is treat motivated, calling its name softly staying low to the ground, shaking the bag and using the flashlight to possibly light up your cats eyes. Sometimes they can stay in hiding for days so don’t give up. Hope these tips help and that you’re beautiful. Cat returns home safely and soon🙏🐈‍⬛❤️
