If he’s an indoor cat .. have you tried …
Scent items are very important. Leave something you’ve worn on the deck or lawn … if you have another animal, put a blanket they’ve used or a kitty bed outside …. NO litter boxes. The cat can get your scent from quite a distance. Go out and calmly talk and call him/her like you normally would. They sense distress in your voice and will not come or respond so be calm. Also look up in trees under porches/decks … She wants to come back, she is just scared and needs guidance. Cats hunker down when they are afraid so try to help her find her way back. Good luck 🤞🙏
