Precious's Owner Says

Yesterday was a long and emotional day for us. Our sweet Precious went missing, and for 16 hours we searched everywhere. We walked for hours calling her name, checking every corner, talking to neighbors, and hoping we'd see her again. I couldn't post an update yesterday because we were completely exhausted from searching all day. Then, almost at midnight, there was a knock at our door. Our neighbor had found Precious and brought her home. ❤️🐾 The relief we felt is impossible to put into words. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who prayed, shared kind words, checked around their neighborhoods, and kept us in their thoughts. Your support meant everything to us. Our girl is finally home safe, and our hearts are so full. Hold your fur babies a little closer tonight—they truly are family. ❤️

You can purchase a trap from Tractor Supply or Home Depot or Amazon or see if you can borrow or rent one from a local rescue or TNR group. Put a piece of your clothing with your scent on it inside and some wet food and set the trap and cover it with a towel (they feel more secure hidden) and monitor it.🙏❣️ remember kitties are naturally nocturnal, so they will hide during the day and move at night time looking for a food source or trying to get home. This is when most of us are sleeping. That's why the trap is ideal. Monitor it very frequently and early in the morning. If you catch a critter go ahead and release it and wash the trap and reset. They leave a smell behind which may deter your baby from going in. If you catch another kitty, you can always take it to a local vet or shelter for a free chip check and you might be able to help return someone else's missing baby home.♥️ also get a big sign in the front yard so in case someone does have or sees this baby and does not see this post, they can contact the owner that way. Also get lots of signs posted in the neighborhood. Keep checking on your local county FB group pages. You can search the group by "cat" to see all the cat posts only💗

Pam Praolini Thank you, yes that’s what we have been doing walking around, looking in the bushes around the neighbor, we have asked people exchange phone numbers. I posted this as my second plan. But first thing we have been looking around. Thank you for your help 🙏🏼

My indoor only male black cat got out once. We put out all the scents. Old blankets, our unwashed clothes, his scratch post, his empty dirty litter box, vacuum dust etc. My nextdoor neighbor would see him trying to return during the day while we were at work. Then get scared and run off into nearby woods. I started setting my alarm for 3am while it was quiet and go out calling him. Finally after 5 days I heard him crying in very thick bushes Nextdoor to our house. I saw his eyes with my flashlight. I had to literally crawl to get him. He was like afraid to move. I finally got him . They usually don’t travel far. They will hunker down close by.

If precious is an indoor cat and she has escaped to the outdoors. She is most probably afraid and hiding, and even the tiniest of spaces please get out and physically search for her, even the smallest places as well as she could be trapped or stuck somewhere and may not come out on her own. Also ask your neighbors to check their screened in patios, their garages their sheds, etc. And get some flyers up I hope you find her safe
