Message from Owner

Our wonderful dog Costco got out yesterday evening from our hse on Gum Tree. She's a sweet-natured, cream-colored dog with long legs and a pronounced underbite. She's young so she can run FAST, but she might come up to you if you approach quietly. If you see her or capture her, please let us know. We are devastated and really, really hope someone finds her.

. Put bright flyers everywhere in area!!! Give flyers to mailmen, UPS drivers, trash collectors. **If suspect stolen, file police report ASAP! **Go door to door to see if anyone has security video of the dog &/or thief. **Post on Pawboost & Nextdoor, Facebook, other lost pet sites. ✔️Make a “missing” sign with picture & put it in your front yard. ✔️***File lost report with shelters in your area & surrounding areas! ✔️Check shelters in person & on websites daily. ✔️Post Lost on Craig's List under "pets" and "Lost and Found. **Also check “for sale” pets on Craigs list, where thieves often post to sell. **Report Lost to chip company & ensure your contact info is current. 🙏🙏

General Information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house (EX Worn clothing / shoes from a family member that the dog lives with.) Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media). Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Owners: Do not try and search for the dog - as your scent travels when you are out and walking all over can confuse the dog. The dog should only smell your scent near your home. Never underestimate the ability of a dog to find their way home using their nose. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing to see if it has been picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely. Beware of scammers.
