Thank you, kind human, for keeping this sweet cat safe and contained! 🤗 (So many pets are hit and ed before they're able to be safely returned home. 😔) 🐾Any vet’s office will scan for microchip for free. 🐾Not everyone is looking for their lost pets online, so it’s important to TALK to neighbors in the area. 🐾Check pawboost for LOST pets. 🐾Contact shelter with description and location: may be first place family is looking. 🐾Posting "found cat" on a simple cardboard, along with your phone number, posted close can be extremely helpful. Have any caller identify kitty FIRST (though most are, some people are not good and will claim pets for unkind reasons) And THANK YOU for caring enough to Act and help make our community a safe and caring place for everyone, especially these vulnerable animals, who rely on humans for their care 💗

Require proof of ownership (vet papers, old photos etc.) so crushers or other abusers do not claim.

Always notify the shelter when finding a cat. You can foster until family is found. Any vet will check for a chip. Make sure anyone claiming has proof of ownership older than six months. Also share to Lost and Found Dogs of North Carolina CAT Page.Check Craigslist. Thank you for saving this baby!
