It's very easy. Animals can slip collars and harnesses if they figure it out. My dog slipped his harness when my father in law was walking him and was lucky he didn't run. He was terrified the dog would bolt. Which is exactly what happened here. Maybe don't be so judgmental. It makes you seem like a really horrible person, and considering you like judging other people, people will judge you back.

My dog can slip any kind of harness and collars. Once they figure it out, its easy for them.

Joyce Willacy-Veert someone open your gate and you not realize, dog runs out.. in her case, the dog simply slipped out of its collar. there’s no need to be rude in a situation that is already very stressful for them and they just want the dog back! absolutely nobody is perfect. think before you speak / type.
