Mary Shaw thank you! It was a stressful weekend. We were up and down the neighborhood knocking on doors Saturday evening and Sunday morning. He never goes in the bat but somehow he snuck down and hid himself good. We were down there calling him and shaking his treat bag( which he normally comes running for) but he didn't show up. Guess he got hungry this morning 😊😁

Mickey has been found! He showed up this morning. Somehow he locked himself in the bat. We are not sure how he got down there and it was thoroughly searched. However he was found this morning scratching at the door.

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Don't put litterbox outside it attracts other cats and animals. Hang outside unwashed pjs or towels on your deck of the cat's favourite person and change them daily as your scent blows off of them. Go outside after dark with a flash light and check under decks and sheds and cars and bushes etc. Praying My suggestion if still missing in a few days would be to put the cat's favourite person's unwashed tshirt or small unwashed towel they have used or their unwashed pillow case in the live trap and make sure it doesn't impede the trip completed previous requests or the door. Change the clothing daily as the scent blows off. Add a trail of temptation to the trap and Dollarama mackerel. Do not set up the trap if you aren't there or can't check it every 15 - 20 minutes.

Indoor cats usually hide close to home. When my indoor cat got out got out I left my door open. He eventually came back to the house and ran inside. Passing out door to door posters and putting them on lamp posts and in public areas also work well. Mickey looks like such a sweet baby. I hope he returns soon. 💕

Have you put up lots of posters around the neighbourhood and in stores nearby? It worked quickly for me. Not everyone is on Facebook or checks it regularly. Good luck. Shared
