*Start asap* all these tips from all of us are really great tips... they really do work... pleaseeee keep repeating...go out really late at nite or really early in am... middle of the night with flashlight and call for him/her and then quietly listen he/she may be hiding scared injured or stuck somewhere ...shine the flashlight around his/her eyes will reflect off of it...keep checking the shelters go in person make sure you're going to correct shelter where animal control would bring a cat from your area... they are too busy to contact you and check all the pets coming in...set up trail cameras near ur home ..they only take pics when something is in front of it moving ..so you don't have to look thru 24 hours of camera everyday... (there are great ppl out there to lend one to you and so many ppl in the community will help you look for him/her) if you can monitor, set a humane trap with really strong smell food to attract and make sure that’s the only food out for him/her…all the tips to find lost cats really really do work please follow them.keep posting and we'll keep sharing and hang lots of fliers talk to as many ppl and hand them fliers...it'Il keep him/her on everyone's mind so they are always on the lookout…concentrate on putting up fliers especially in ur area they really don't go far at all. Prayers for your kitty out there and you find him/her asap!!!

**** I copied this from another post..great tips**** Lost kitties I'm so sorry to hear that your baby is lost! There are some very specific things that you need to do that will get you pointed in the right that will help ensure every possible success for bringing your baby home. !!!!!!!!! This is not just a matter of sitting back on the couch & hoping your cat will come home on its own... You Must go on the offensive!!!!!! First thing is ask all your neighbors if they/you can check in garage/sheds or under porches. If a garage or shed door was left open even a few inches, the cat will can hide in there. If it gets closed the cat gets trapped . When an inside cat gets out they are usually scared to death and will hide in the safest closest place to their house. Try leaving your door open for several hours. I know of someone that tried this and said their cat came walking in like they never went missing. If you have a garage leave the door cracked a few inches with any of their blankets and some of your clothes as this has familiar scents on it. You may want to leave some food but be careful as this may bring in strays. NEVER leave their litter box outside. This is an old wives tale and all it does is bring in Predators. Next is notify ALL the vet offices, rescues/shelters in your city/town. You will want to CALL them EVERYDAY and check! Is your baby microchipped? If not that should be the first thing on your list upon their return! Notifying the vets and rescues and shelters is a must & should be reinforced with flyer. A current photo description, your baby's name, all telephone numbers you can be reached including family members names and numbers if any. Make sure your flyer says that you can be contacted ANY TIME day OR night. List all of your veterinarian's contact information including the nearest emergency vet clinic information just in case. Go to your town/City's Facebook group and post your flyer there as well as any additional applicable Facebook groups for your area. Then Google Lost Pet websites such as petfinder, catradar, lostmykitty, pawboost, lostcatfinder just to name a few. There are many many more register with each and every one!. Call your local animal control officer ie the dog catcher and file a report, make sure to give them a copy of your flyer. Flood your neighborhood with the flyer. Place it in a appropriate size Ziploc, seal it tight and then tape the end closed with heavy duty packing tape. Make sure when hanging it that the zippered Edge is facing the ground ( it rains no moisture is going to get inside ). Cats are crepuscular (move the most at Dusk and Dawn) take a flashlight at these times and look up/under depending on this.... Cats have 2 main personality types. Tree Dwellers and Bush dwellers. A tree dweller feels safe the higher up they are. You want to look up in trees, on roofs or even in the Attic/rafters if they got in someone's garage. Bush dwellers feel safe down low or under something like a shed or garage, under vehicles or even a crawl space of someone's house or porch. Walk around your neighborhood calling your cat's name softly. Your voice conveys your feelings so if you sound stressed/worried your cat will pick that up in the tone of your voice. Make your voice sound enticing and relaxed, make them want to come to you. Bring food/ treats in a plastic container and shake it like Temptations we all know once you shake Em you just can't shake Em . You know your cat better than anyone so you will know the best places to look. You may need to get help from a rescue group and borrow a Humane trap. This is helpful when your Kitty's been seen. Placing the Trap near your home can be successful. ***Putting up game or security cameras is really helpful.

They usually don’t venture far. It’s probably scared & hiding near by in bushes or an open garage. Most kitties will stay put in their safe hiding spot. ( if they’re not fixed they can wonder further, depends on circumstances) Ask neighbors to check their sheds, decks, garages. They usually venture out at night after 24-48hrs when they start getting hungry. The “witching” hour when they come out is 3am. If you see your pet, don’t try to grab it, it’s still on survival mode and will run. Just sit down maybe with some treats and let your pet come to you. (Remember, never put the litterbox outside. Other cats will mark it & scare your cat away. Just in case, also set some humane traps near by, hide them in the bushes where your pet might hide. Good luck & don’t lose hope. Pray to St Anthony, he hasn’t let me down. 🙏🏻🐾
