Message from Owner

We had entrusted Poppy to a friend while away on a fishing trip. Something we often did. Unfortunately, Poppy escaped during this time, and the individual responsible failed to inform us and has since become unreachable. By the time we became aware of the situation and contacted your centre, we were devastated to learn that Poppy had already been rehomed and the pound would give no info on here whereabouts or simply if she was safe. Poppy is not just a pet, Daryl has had her since she was 10 weeks old, and she has been his constant companion for the past 5 years since moving to Australia from Northern Ireland. The sudden loss without closure is causing immense distress. We are also deeply concerned for Poppy’s wellbeing. She would be frightened and confused without Daryl and not knowing whether she is safe, cared for or in the right hands is something we are struggling to cope with. The thought that she may have ended up in unsafe circumstances is truly overwhelming. This may be a long shot but any sightings or help would be truly appreciated by two heartbroken people.

Sounds like the person you trusted with caring for Poppy may have lied about her escaping. You would like to think that what ever rescue adopted her out would be more helpful and at least would contact the person who adopted her and ask if they would be prepared to give Poppy back to you if you would offer them the adoption fee back so they could rescue another dog requiring a home. Shared again.

Keren Muthsam something isn’t adding up? He was only away for 4 days? I think they said somewhere she went missing 90days ago but then he reakons it’s only been since May? The timeline makes no sense and how could his mate loose his dog and move to qld all in 4 days? Makes no sense?
