Message from Owner

We had entrusted Poppy to a friend while away on a fishing trip. Something we often did. Unfortunately, Poppy escaped during this time, and the individual responsible failed to inform us and has since become unreachable. By the time we became aware of the situation and contacted your centre, we were devastated to learn that Poppy had already been rehomed and the pound would give no info on here whereabouts or simply if she was safe. Poppy is not just a pet, Daryl has had her since she was 10 weeks old, and she has been his constant companion for the past 5 years since moving to Australia from Northern Ireland. The sudden loss without closure is causing immense distress. We are also deeply concerned for Poppy’s wellbeing. She would be frightened and confused without Daryl and not knowing whether she is safe, cared for or in the right hands is something we are struggling to cope with. The thought that she may have ended up in unsafe circumstances is truly overwhelming. This may be a long shot but any sightings or help would be truly appreciated by two heartbroken people.

It states in another post that poppy has been rehomed through a rescue place after poppy was taken there. Seems more to this story 🤔

Why was the microchip not marked as missing? Did you not think to update it so when the council scanned the microchip they would of seen her as missing? Its the first thing you do!

Jade Calvert I sincerely hope Poppy can be located🙏 I found this in the WA Dog Act 1976 (legislation) unsure if it’s relevant or helpful, but anything is worth trying! All the very best 🙏

Oh this is sad to see because I've met poppy down at the dog park along with her owner in the past when I've taken my dog to play down there... What a terrible thing to do! Hope they find poppy!
