Message from Owner

I rescued her and her sister from a drain pipe and have spent the months since then letting her learn to love me and enjoy the hse cat life. She slipped out the door when I let my dog out at 6am on Sunday morning. She is scared and alone and doesnt know what cars are and that they are dangerous. I miss her, but more important her sister misses her she meowed all night for her. Please help Wren come home to us.

Search up in trees, under buildings/houses with broken or missing foundation vent covers, up on roofs, inside of closed garages, and under decks. Ask all your neighbors to check their properties, too. Cats can get into these places and may be unable to get out from them without assistance. Post photos all around your neighborhood, inside grocery and pet supply stores. Never put food nor a cats litter box outside. Both attract wild animals that may harm (or worse) your cat. Go in person to all local animal shelters to search for your cat. The nice people that answer their phones will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by animal control. Call all local veterinarian offices to check if anyone has brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip or treated for an injury. Ask them to keep a lookout for your cat. Please don't give up on searching for your day. I'm certain in your much rather be safe inside your home than lost outside.

Also, sit outside several times each day and have a calm, casual conversation, mentioning kitty's name now and then. Even if u have to talk to yourself.

The effectiveness of signs posted quickly all around the area can not be overstated. Reaches those not on social media and lets neighbors know he/she's not a stray.

The search has been on going for 36 hours. Flyers are out, all available neighbors have been notified. The camera is up and recording. Blankets are out. Is there anything else to do beside wait?

See what Mike Eddy posted and follow the suggestions. They will help you locate her. In addition to putting out some of your unwashed laundry, put her blanket and something her sister sleeps on outside as well. The best time to quietly look for her is at night with a flashlight. Be sure to deliver flyers door-to-door in a five house radius in all directions from your place. Ask neighbors to check in garages, under decks, in sheds etc. to see if she is hiding. They just need to let you know if they see her, not to try and approach her. On the flyers OFFER A REWARD as an incentive! The flyers are important because many people are not on social media and will not see the online posts. They NEED a flyer so they know to watch for her and call if seen! Praying.
