Hopefully some of these tips will help bring your little fur baby home safe 🙏🤞 Leave your garage door open (if you have one) just enough that only she/he can fit through. Try to leave open the door or window she/he got out of if you can. If not check often around your residence. Look under sheds and decks if you have them and get neighbors to do the same. Ask neighbors to also check in their backyard and their garages and check cameras if they have them. Go out at night and in the daytime and shake dry food in a container and call her/his name. If you have a camera that you can put out, do that maybe in the front or backyard. Also look in bushes at night with a flashlight. Try putting some of your dirty laundry by the front door? Try KFC or rotisserie chicken with no bones. If you have neighbors that have cameras, maybe ask them to check them to see if she/he has been spotted. Put up flyers as everyone is not on social media I hope she/he is found safe soon. 🤞🙏

Lost Cats‼️ Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. Most of them will not respond when they are in survival mode. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Sit and quietly call for your kitty. Try to stay low, standing is intimidating to cats. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases outside. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage, place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for her to get in. DO NOT leave food or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be ed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take months to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of her eyes. The best chance of you being reunited with your cat is to do a methodical search of the area. Most indoor only cats will be within 160 feet of your home. Survival mode lasts 5 to 14 days but can last longer. Once their hunger gets to a maximum theyqq snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. The majority of cats will try to make a break for home on the 5th night. In addition to posted flyers, make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Some people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. a lot of people are successful trapping their indoor only cats. If you decide to trap, you must watch the trap closely, predators can a cat in a trap.

If you haven't already done so, post to Nextdoor, FELINES 209 (there is a duplicate group so make sure you are posting to the Felines 209 group with 15,000+ members), Nextdoor, the Ring app, Lostmykitty, and 24Petconnect (they will contact all shelters in the area) to cover all your bases as not everyone is on social media. If cat is microchipped, contact microchip company and also update your address with them, if needed. Talk to your neighbors to see if they saw your cat, if they would look at security camera video to see which direction he wandered off, and for them to check their garage/shed in case your cat got locked inside. Put up brightly colored flyers in the neighborhood and extend out to 1.5 miles as cats travel. If safe, go out late at night/very early morning and rattle the cat's favorite food/treats. Use a flashlight as cats eyes are reflective in the dark when a light is aimed at them. If your cat is an inside cat, they normally do not wander off too far so chances are it is nearby so check under bushes and up in trees. Also, if safe, leave garage door open just enough for the cat to squeeze through if he tries to get in. You can also leave some of your worn clothing outside as cats have a keen sense of smell. It is not a good idea to leave the litterbox outside as other cats/predators will be able to smell it and they may prevent your cat from returning home by hanging around. Praying your cat returns home soon.

Tips for missing cats that helped many cats to be found before Hopefully it would help Put unwashed cloth with familiar scent of someone he/she attached to he/she can smell the scent of it Check with your neighbors garages and sheds maybe he’s/she’s hiding there Go look for him/her outside when it’s more quiet, take some snacks or dry food and shake it and call him/her naturally like you call him/her at home to eat or play, look under cars and bushes when you looking for him/her, post on NExtdoor app/Facebook groups and put flyers in your area not everyone on social media Remember cats don’t roam far usually from their territory, so most chances he’s/she’s hiding around till he/she feels safe to come out ! There’s a great video here for finding lost cats https://fb.watch/bZXagY25IV/ ◦
