Copenhagen is my daughter’s dog. He is six years old, and we got him when he was just eight weeks old for her birthday. We live out in the country and he has always lived freely on our property without being chained. He had the run of the land and did a great job keeping our animals safe. About a year ago a neighbor mentioned that they had almost hit him with their car and asked if we could keep him closer to the hse. Because of that, I installed an invisible fence to keep him in the yard. He didn’t like it much, but we thought it was the safest option. About five weeks after getting the collar, he somehow tore it off and ran off for less than 24 hours before coming back . Last week he went missing again. At first I thought the same thing had happened and that he would come back the next day. After a few days, I found his collar on the ground—fully intact—which makes me worry that something else may have happened. I’m not sure if he ran off or if someone may have taken him. Copenhagen is a very friendly dog and trusts everyone, so it’s possible someone picked him up. If anyone has seen him or has any information, please let us know. My 9-year-old daughter is devastated and missing her best friend
