.🛟 Here are some helpful tips to locate lost birds or reunite with found birds. Please make sure to follow each step: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Make your bird FAMOUS - everyone should know your bird by telling everyone you can on social media. 🛟if you found a bird and you cannot catch - slowly cover by throwing a dry or even a damp towel on the bird, and that will allow catching easier. Post in both Parrot 🦜 911 groups! ☹️Some people do not take all steps fast enough which reduces finding the bird. 1. Contact all veterinarians within a 50-mile radius. Facebook messenger or email them photos of the bird and ask for their assistance. Enlist the help of friends to make additional calls and e-mails. 2. Create a public post on Facebook and ask your friends to share it to increase visibility. 3. Utilize the Nextdoor app to reach out to your local community and notify them about the missing or found bird. ⬅️ THIS IS BIG 4. Post on local “lost and found” pet and bird Facebook pages to widen the search. *also, all bird groups for your breed of bird. 🦜 post your birds, photo and information in every group that is a breed of your bird because people are very helpful when they relate to something. 5. Consider offering a reward and post an ad on Craigslist to attract attention. 💲💵💲 6. Make flyers with a clear description of your bird and place them everywhere in your area. The more people who know about your bird, the better the chances of finding it. 7. Register your lost pet on platforms like Pawsboost and inform animal shelters within a 20-mile distance from your location. Go to pet harbor website to check and register your missing bird. 8. Join mom or local Facebook groups and share the information there as well. Sometimes, people sell, give away, or keep lost pets, assuming the owner isn't actively searching. You can use the Canvas app to create flyers easily. How to catch? To attract your bird back, place a cage outside at an elevated location, and provide food and water inside. Also, play sounds of the breed to lure the bird out of hiding. Consider placing another friendly bird in the cage as a lure. Remember to check all area bird feeders and transform your cage into a trap by tying a string to the top of a drop door. This way, it can be opened and closed from a distance. If you need assistance, feel free to keep my contact information. I have 45 years of experience in safely recovering loose cage birds.
