Put up a scent station ; put the cat's unwashed towels outside on a hanger on the edge of the roof,on a windowsill, on a deck,fire escape, and put its owner's, or favorite person's unwashed clothes outside on a clothing line, or a hanger on a porch,a fire escape, windowsill,etc,the scent will travel and help guide the cat back home. Put a dish,not a can of fishy wet food or tuna outside at its feeding area, with a minicamera pointing at the food, observe from your devices what animals go up to the food, and if you see your cat, later, or the next night, set up a humane trap with the food dish inside, and the minicamera attached to the side topic the roof of the trap, towards the back,near the food pointing down at an angle,to observe what animals go inside.
