Message from Finder

This cat found us about two months ago. Frequently asks for food. Three weeks ago we finally got close enough to see if he was chipped. No chip. Loving and gentle. Polite eater. Needs a home.

How were you able to check for the chip without going to the vet? I’m curious because I need to check a cat, but I feel if I bring it to the vet it would be traumatized and much easier if I could just check it at home.
