She is a cat and has never been outside. Was brought up with her twin brother and never been separated. She’s shy and we’re missing her greatly. Please help.

Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. They will not always respond to you, most don’t. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases outside. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for him/her to get in. DO NOT leave food or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be ed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take weeks to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of his/her eyes. Survival mode last 5 to 14 days. Once their hunger gets to a maximum they snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. Make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Most people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for him/her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful.

MISSING INDOOR CATS 🐱 This is the advice given for lost indoor cats. If followed, it works in almost every case and trying it all as soon as possible brings most cats home : Usually lost indoor cats won't go far from home and will hide somewhere close by because they are frightened of unfamiliar surroundings. Firstly, look and listen very carefully around every corner of your home Call and listen. This includes in cupboards, lofts etc and loom for any posdible holes or loose floorboards in cupboards. Check carefully round the outside of your home for small gaps etc and again listen carefully and call for your cat. Look in neighbour's gardens, under bushes, under cars in the street and anything else s/he may be hiding behind or underneath and go out late at night with a torch and check again and call him/her. Leave your door open late tonight with the lights off and strong smelling food near the door. Scared cats usually come home in the early hours when they feel it’s safe.....good luck. Go out late at night or early hours of morning when it's quiet and safer for cats to cross roads and come out of hiding. Try to search by thinking of your home as centre of a circle. Go to edge of circle, then start calling, stop, listen hard, repeat slowly all the way back home. Repeat from different points on circle. If your cat hears you they will follow your voice in the right direction. Do same when door knocking. Your cat could be laying low to feel safe.

Put items of your unwashed clothing outside your home so she can pick up your scent. Call very late at night and early mornings shaking the treats and look behind walls and hedges and inbetween shed and fence panel. Put posters up and leaflet drop in your area and ask neighbours to check their sheds and garages. If you have a secure cat basket, put her brother in there outside your property but stand close by so no one can steal your boy
