Message from Owner

Please help us find our beloved TEDDY! He is a small 6yo dark brown tabby with black stripes. He went missing from Macewan Park Close in Calgary on the evening of July 2nd. He is very friendly with people, knows his name and will often respond with a meow when called! Was wearing a black harness with black and silver name tag which has his name and our contact number (harness and tag may have come off?). We think he might be stuck in a neighborhood garden shed, or possible under a deck and can't get out. Please try calling him at night and see if you can hear his lovely meow!

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box, although some people will put it out & find that has worked as well. Your decision. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT If possible consider building a Catio - so much safer for kitties who like the sights/smells of outdoors. attached is one website to build, there are many - google or fb has many showing how to build one. **https://thefurbearers.com/blog/catio-season-why-cat-patios-are-good-for-everyone/

Linda Crump thank you. Posted on YYC Pet Recovery also and yes, we have posted flyers, been door to door, and reported to 311 and several local vets as well

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothing and some food. We did this and our cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for 3 days.

Try talking to neighbours in case someone has seen kitty around or is looking after kitty to keep them safe. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to your neighbours make up some flyers with kitty’s picture and contact information. Also post on YYC Pet Recovery Pet Recovery another great site like this one that putting up pictures of lost and found animals if you haven’t already put in a report to 311. Getting out often with treats and checking at different times of the day and night to see if kitty is coming back in the yard to get in so important. I truly hope your kitty is home soon.
