Message from Owner

Please help us bring home our baby!! She’s been raised by my roommate and I since she was less than 2 weeks old and doesn’t know anything about the outdoors or where to go. She is our everything and we miss her so much. She was last seen inside our apmt at the Fairways at Corbin Park, and we aren’t sure how she got out but we can’t find her anywhere so our only guess is that she had to have gotten out somehow. If anyone sees her or knows where she is please, please reach out with information!!

If your cat is an indoor cat, it will be scared and won’t come when called. Try placing their used litter outside. At night, use a flashlight to check under your and your neighbors' bushes and decks for the reflection of your cat's eyes. ‼️Additionally, consider setting up a humane trap as soon as possible, as it's one of the most effective methods for finding lost cats ‼️. You can bait the trap with strong-smelling sardines. These traps can be purchased at local hardware stores or borrowed from animal shelters. While this approach might seem drastic, remember that lost pets often enter survival mode and behave differently. Be sure to research how to use a humane trap effectively. Make sure to visit local animal shelters in person and look for your missing kitty, and post flyers within a one-mile radius of where your kitty went missing. There are also many valuable resources available online if you search for "how to find your missing cat." Important Note: Be cautious of scåmmers who may claim they have found your cat or offer drøne services. It's best not to engage with them. 🙏🏻❤️

Missing Cats Hopefully this might help you find your cat~ Know that lost cats are frightened and skittish and will usually hide during daylight hours. Make sure to search the inside of your house throughly. They can hide in unlikely places. Under your bed frames has been a favorite hiding place. Try shaking their cat dish or treat bag. At night they will start looking for home and usually move very slowly exploring areas and looking for familiar sounds or sights. Take a flashlight at night and look under bushes, cars, and in gutters. They tend to move in circles and don’t tend to move quickly or run from home. Another possibility is that they may be near home close to someone’s door, hoping to get inside. Someone’s garage perhaps. Some people have had luck leaving their door cracked open a little, same goes for your garage door. Always personally check your nearest shelter and file a report. Focus your search during times when your neighborhood is quieter. Early mornings (dawn & dusk). Cats will tend to go to more quiet places than busy noisy places, so if there are parks, or wooded lawns, check there. Always take a flashlight even in the daylight. Check under bushes, porches, window wells, up trees, storm drains, UNDER CARS etc. Important!!--- Remember she is probably not very far from home, she is frightened, she is getting more hungry and thirsty as the days go on and will be more motivated to overcome her fear and answer you. Set out stinky food, such as tuna or sardines. If heated every few hours it will enhance the aroma. After a few days setting a baited trap near your house is a good idea. Stay determined, stay hopeful and stay persistent. Some have had luck taking their favorite treats and shaking the can or bag. **Put a piece of clothing outside that has your scent on it (dirty) or a piece of bedding such as a blanket that has its fur on it. *Do not put its litter box outside. It could possibly attract predators. Maybe a pillow case that you have slept on recently. Just recently someone had set a trail of cat nip out, it helped get her cat. DON’T GIVE UP! Pass out flyers to everyone in the area including vet offices. Not everyone is on Facebook. Hang large neon colorful posters with picture and large contact information which can see from a car. Make sure you visit your local shelter to see if anyone has turned it in. Angie Yewell

Molly is definitely scared and hiding and you will need to go out at NIGHT with a flashlight and look for her “glowing” eyes. She is VERY CLOSE to your apartment… most likely in YOUR OWN apartment “yard”. They usually find a hiding spot very quickly and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees and check under everything in YOUR “YARD” first… under decks, under sheds, inside bushes, wood piles and storm drains. Then check your neighbors “yards”. They are very good at hiding. THE BEST TIME TO FIND HER IS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND HER EYES WILL “GLOW” BACK AT YOU. Molly is so scared, she will NOT respond to you calling her, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears to find her. When cats are suddenly outside, they go into "survival mode" and their entire personality changes. They will NOT wander. They find a hiding spot very close by and are very scared and will not come out for anyone... even their owners. I hope you find your fur-baby very soon!

Try putting your kitty dirty litter box outside or something that smells like your kitty so she can smell her way home. ***If you have a garage try leaving it cracked open enough for the kitty to come inside. Also try putting a smelly can of tuna or cat food outside. Cats hide in bushes, under decks, under vehicles and in sewers when they are scared. If you go out at night and shine a flashlight, your cats eyes will glow when you shine it in her eyes. Let your neighbors know your kitty is missing incase they see the kitty. **🙏🙏🙏Also check local shelters daily!!!! **Also beware of Scammers!! I hope you find your kitty soon. 💜🐾🙏
