Description

Black with a little white on his belly. He knows his name, is playful, very vocal, and has two dog brothers and one dog sister, so he will be comfortable around other pets. I am going to the shelter today to hopefully find him. Crossing my fingers!

Message from Owner

He is about 1 year old. It's been raining in San Antonio and I'm worried. He does know his name, "Pepper."

What to do if you lose your Cat 1. Search all places inside and around your house as cats can hide in small places. 2. Shake their treat bag and softly call their name. 3. Search at dusk and dawn with a flashlight as the light will pick up their eyes. Outside they tend to hide under shrubs, under porches, in open sheds & drainage ditches. You can shake their treats while looking outside too. 4. Put something with your scent on it outdoors, on a porch or deck or in your garage with the door cracked. Sometimes the scent brings them home. You can also put their litter box outside but depending on where you live, it could bring out predators. 5. Post on nextdoor & the Ring Neighbor app. 6. Post on pawboost. You can download a free flyer here. 7. Post on FB Lost & Found Groups 8. Make a lost pet report to all the local shelters especially in areas that have close boundaries. 9. Post on PetFBI site and use .org as the ending. 10. If chipped, report to chip company but don’t forget to change status when your cat is found. 11. Ask your neighbors to check their garages and sheds. 12. Often your cat is around your home at night.

Leave some of your laundry outside your home to help him find his way home by scent. Also leave a door, lower window, garage door cracked open enough for him to find a way back into the home. They normally try to get back inside the same way they got out. If he is scared, he may be moving at night when it is quieter and looking for a way back inside. Hope this helps 🙏
