Put up posters, put use litter outside so she/he can pick up on their scent. notified vets, shelters, and recuses. Also notified chipped company if your cat is chipped. Check 1-2 blocks each way calling the cats name. .Check close to home like tree's, brushes, and any holes he may fine to hide. Ask neighbors to check their backyards and sheds. Go out late at night when everything is quite calling the cats name while carry a treat like tuna, make sure you stop to listen. Check under cars etc... Do you know if their is a cat colony someone in your area bc you could check with them to see if your baby is there too GL...Also beware of scammers-don't give money and ask them to sent picture NO FOOD it will attack prey

Finding a cat long version If you’ve lost or found a cat in Toronto please do the following: 1. Thoroughly check your house. The cat may be hiding under furniture or in a closet due to fright. 2. Start looking immediately. Lost cats are usually found within 50 yards of their home. 3. Ask neighbours if you can look for the cat on their property - under decks, etc. 4. Thoroughly search your neighbourhood. The cat is probably hiding close to home and afraid. Cats usually stay near or return to the door they left for a day or two before they wander for food but remember that cats are nocturnal and hide during the daytime. 5. Rent or borrow a live animal trap. Place it near an entrance to your home and bait it with smelly cat food. 6. Persist - keep monitoring the websites suggested below. Cat sometimes can be found in shelters months after they were lost. 7. File a report with Toronto Animal Services - https://www.toronto.ca/data/mls/animals/strayanimals.html and check it daily. 8. Check www.catsinthebag.org and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I for tips on finding a lost cat. 9. Create/Search listings on http://www.helpinglostpets.com/ 10. Post/Search on https://www.reddit.com/r/toronto 11. Check Pet Find Toronto: https://www.facebook.com/SearchSpecialists 12. Check Pawboost: https://www.pawboost.com/ - for suggestions and sample posters. 13. Do not use Instagram Pet Search. There are reported scammers who will take a fee, do nothing, and block you. 14. Get colour posters made and put them up immediately in a 5-10 block radius of your home. Include building and construction sites, and have your phone number visibly on the poster. Post them on community and local store notice boards. 15. Walk around a 5-10 block area after dark and bring food and treats. Stop periodically, calling the cat’s name softly. Listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves. Use a flashlight - cats’ eyes will reflect the light and shine at night. 16. Try to remain inconspicuous and put the food beside you, not in your hand. Rattle a treats bag. 17. Put out his litter box, toys, food and water. Leave some food and water in hidden places near the door overnight and carefully check in the morning for signs he's been there. 18. Rig up a cat shelter with articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home. 19. Notify local vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. SPCA) and the microchip company if he's chipped. (Make sure that your contact information is up-to-date with the microchip company.) 20. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. 21. Check all nearby dark, shaded areas - under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where he can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain. 22. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells for places where he could be hiding. Ask neighbours if YOU can check their garages and sheds as your kitty will continue to hide if they check. 23. Thump the hoods and fenders of any cars that have been parked for a while in case he or other small animals are hiding in engine compartments and wheel wells. Ask neighbours to do the same, especially in the winter. Also have neighbours check their ring doorbell and security camera footage. That is how I tracked and found my guy. I hope you find your baby!

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Shared. If you have not yet done all these things do so ASAP, if you have do them again and go further in your search. Notify Vaughan (and Thornhill) Animal Services and check their website(s) for found cats. Hopefully she's been spayed, if not she may have been chased by intact male cats as she may be in heat (reason why she left). Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. Leave her used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door she left NOW and check at dusk. Advise local feral cat feeders who may spot her searching for food. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe.

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for her. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.

Hoping you find this puss😕❤️ Go out looking for her/him at night when it’s quiet. Call and listen! for them to call back. Go down laneways etc too - they could be trapped in a garage, injured & hiding, scared… Knock on doors & talk to people on the street - they may know of her/him - someone may have taken them in. Post on All Neighbourhood social media sites. Put up posters - drop as flyers in mailboxes. File a LOST report with Toronto/other Animal Services in case they end up there - continue to check their listings! Continue to call - they won’t necessarily call you. Also, check their ‘deceased animals’ listings 🥲 ⭐️⭐️Consider setting a well-monitored live trap in your yard. He may be too scared to come out but may be able to be trapped.⭐️⭐️ You may catch other critters that will need to be released. Keep looking! Don’t give up on her/him .🥰

Please place his bedding 🛏outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a can of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbo🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . Trully 🍀hoping you find your kitty safe and soon .🙏 ❤️🏡🐾
